New Apple iPhone 2.0 Information Obtained from "Leaked" Photos

Crunchgear has published information supposedly leaked about the new Apple iPhone 2. The new iPhone 2 with 3G speed is expected to be released this Monday during Steve Jobs' Keynote Address at 2008 World Wide Developers Conference. The information was received from a Flickr user who claims the information is from Apple or AT&T promotional material, showing both a black and red iPhone along with some additional about a front-facing camera for video chat, slimmer styling, iChat AV application and the possibility of iChat for Windows. Aside from the missing the standby/lock button on the top of the Red iPhone pictured, the information 'appears' fairly credible.

PWN for iPhone offers Full Independence from Apple's Vision of the What the iPhone Can and Cannot do

As of tomorrow, Sunday, March 30th, the long awaited project iPhone PWNED ~~will be~~ will not be available to the public! The PWNED tool actually patches teh bootloader of the iPhone, which allows you to load any firmware image you want - even those not signed by Apple. This means that custom patched firmware could be loaded directly from within iTunes - simplifying the jailbreaking and/or unlocking process. According to www.theiPhoneProject.org website, the PWN software "allows full independence from Apple's vision on what the iPhone can and cannot do." This approach takes full control of the lowest layers of Apple's device, and allows a much safer kind of jailbreak [compared to ones that already exist], that uses Apple's tried and tested restore mechanism. iPhone Browser 1.52 - Windows File Browser for the iPhone

iPhone Browser 1.52 for Windows is a file browser for your iPhone. Especially useful if you have jailbroken your iPhone, iPhone Browser allows you to drag and drop files to and from your iPhone, preview text and image files, clean up abandoned folders and more. Using this software I quickly discovered folders from the software iPhysics that were still on the iPhone even though I had removed the program using Installer.

According to a CNN article, Apple is gearing up for another iPhone surge with the June introduction of a new 3G iPhone. Apple production plans call for 11 million iPhones to be built this year, split fairly evenly between the current model and new (2.0) 3G phone.
